Yuva is a story of three young men from different walks of life. One is a reckless ruffian, the other a cool dude and the third a sensible man.

The film has Abhishek Bachchan playing Lallan, a street smart fellow who grew up on the wrong side of the law. A man with his own sense of morality, Lallan believes that his needs are more important than the right and wrongs of life. Although mellow at heart, Lallan is a selfish man, who lives for himself and feels no obligation towards anyone else.

Vivek Oberoi plays a cool-as-a-cucumber guy Arjun. A man with an easy-come-easy-go attitude, Arjun reflects today's cool and yuppie youth. His mantra is to live and let live. He has never had to work hard for anything in life, be it to get through the best college in the country or get the best girls around the city.

The movie has Ajay Devgan playing Michael, a brilliant PhD student who has a clearly defined aim for himself in life. Michael believes strongly in the advantages of modern education and opines that the student community should take an active part in society and politics.

The three men are brought together by a twist of fate through an accident on the Second Hoogly Bridge. This incident will change their lives forever.

Yuva examines the lives of these three men and their families and the complex relationships between individuals who are very different, yet so similar.

The film stars Rani Mukherjee, Esha Deol and Kareena Kapoor in the female lead roles.
